“1. That this august House unanimously resolves to place on record the high appreciation or the House for the outstanding achievements of the sportspersons of Manipur in the V National Games and for the fact that they brought honour and fame for the people and the State of Manipur by winning the Raja Bhalendra Singh Trophy, for overall championship. 

2. This august House further resolves that it will continue to render full support for promotion of sports talents in future so as to enable them to shine in national and international competitions.

3. That this august House also resolves to place on record its deep appreciation of :

(i) the commendable contribution made by Organising Committee of the V National Games, various 
    Sub-Committees and all the officials and volunteers ;
(ii) the Manipur Olympic Association;
(iii) the different State Level Sports Associations of Manipur;
(iv) the whole-hearted support of various NGOs and the people of Manipur;
(v) the Indian Olympic Association, the State Olympic Associations and National Level Sports 
     Federations of their unstinted all round support from the beginning.

Who significantly contributed to the successful conduct of the biggest ever National Games which saw the largest number of participation of sportspersons, in the maximum number of sports disciplines.

The House also notes with appreciation the high standards of competition in the Games where 79 National Games records were broken including a new World Record in 25m Pistol Shooting.

4. That this august House further resolves to record its appreciation for -

(a) the contribution made by those engineers who rendered their best skill and labour to provide 
      international standard sports infrastructure;
(b) the Government of India for their strong support provided through various ministries/organisations 
      such as, the Planning Commission, the HRD, Department of YAS including Sports Authority of 
      India, the Railway Ministry and Railway Board, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, the 
      Defence Ministry, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the North Eastern Council (NEC) and various other 
      agencies of the Government of India.]

5. This august House would also like to place on record its appreciation of the cooperation and assistance extended by the N.E. States specially Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland.”
