“It is felt that the National Co-operative policy resolution and Action Programme adopted in the All India Conference of State Co-operation Ministers cannot be implemented under the provisions of the Manipur Co-operative Societies Act, 1976. The House, therefore, resolved that the Government of Manipur be urged to initiate legislation for amendment of the existing Act so that the above mentioned Policy, Resolution and Action Programme may be implemented in the State.”
